Your donation gives family's their dignity!

Last November, during Giving Tuesday, I challenged friends and family of Loving Kay Refij to donate towards helping build a new bathroom for Madam Titi's neighborhood. As many of you know, I found myself using a not so private toilet, that was not working, and not fit for use. Not only did you meet the challenge, but you exceeded it! This made me look closer to the needs of the neighborhood. 

I realized that none of the people in the neighborhood had a shower as well, and were taking bucket baths outside. So I asked Jimmy, our site director, so look into it. He asked Madame Titi what her need were. When I did, We found out things were much worse than I thought. Madame Titi said that they were peeing, pooping, and showering over the same small hole in the ground!!! (see picture)

SO, because of the generous donations given, to get a good working toilet, I am so excited, that we were able to build a bathroom for this neighborhood, that has 2 toilet stalls. One for the girls and one for the boys. And a shower stall! Jimmy and his team did an amazing job, and this new bathroom is beautiful! I have been so excited to share pictures with you all!
